Last week, I posted some information about Sharon Glickman’s advice for making a positive personal impact at work by dressing well. When I mention someone on this blog, I always send them an e mail letting them know I did so. I didn’t know Sharon Glickman when I did the post, but I liked what she had to say.
Well, Ms. Glickman knows more about making a positive personal impact than just dressing well. A personal brand, something that shows off your uniqueness and helps you get noticed, is also an important part of creating powerful personal impact. The day after I did the post mentioning Sharon Glickman, I received this e mail from her.

This is an interested way to get yourself noticed. Of course, I was flattered by Ms. Glickman’s comments, but I really liked the way she presented them. I know she was knocking off David Letterman, but still it was pretty cool to be the subject of a “top ten reasons” list.
In this e mail, Sharon Glickman branded herself with me as a thoughtful appreciative person – and as a someone with a good sense of humor – not a bad brand in my book.
