Happy Labor Day. Since this is a holiday, this is a short post on self confidence. Here are four of my favorite quotes on self confidence.
- “Confidence is a habit that you can develop by acting as if you already have the confidence you desire to have.” -- Brian Tracy
- "Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy." -- Dale Carnegie
- "Self-confidence is the first requisite to great undertakings." -- Samuel Johnson
- • “Self confidence is one important key to success. Preparation is an important key to self confidence.” – Arthur Ashe
Quotes are great. They can inspire and instruct. For quotes to be helpful, you have to do three things: 1) reflect on the quote and how it relates to your life; 2) decide to do something different as a result of quote; 3) do it.
That’s my challenge to you on this Labor Day. Think about these four quotes. How do they apply to you? Decide what you will do as a result of this insight. Just do it.
That’s it for today. Thanks for reading. Log on to my other blog www.CommonSenseGuy.com for common sense advice on leading people and running a business, and my website www.BudBilanich.com for more common sense.
I’ll see you around the web, and at Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
Bud
PS: Speaking of Alex’s Lemonade Stand – my fundraising page is still open. Please go to www.FirstGiving.com/TheCommonSenseGuy to read Alex’s inspiring story and to donate if you can.
